Much interest in exciting new Open House Program – Holland Flower Week - in November.

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), August 5, 2010. A large group of well known flower breeders and flower trading companies are opening their doors to trade visitors who are in town for the 2 big November flower trade expos, that will be held in the first week of November in the Aalsmeer area. Both the Aalsmeer Flower Auction with their inhouse FloraHolland Trade Fair, as well as the International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF Expo), which is held in Expo Haarlemmermeer (a state of the art former Floriade 2002 building), are Not-To-Be-Missed Events for the international floriculture industry.

Many exhibiting companies are expecting large numbers of visiting growers and buyers of fresh product from in- and outside the Netherlands. By opening up their company as well during the week of the exhibition (besides having a stand in one of the two trade fairs), an open house may double their return on investment. This so called Holland Flower Week will take place during the first week of November of when both fairs are being held as well. For more information details, you can visit www.hollandflowerweek.com for specifics dates and opening hours of every individual participating company. This may vary and therefore it is advised to check before you visit.

A permanent bus shuttle service will be available between the two trade fairs and the companies participating in the Open House Program. This will greatly facilitate visitors and will make sure everybody can easily move from one place to the other. The Open House Program has been developed especially to give a complete overview of the latest developments in floriculture. Departures are daily and every 20 minutes from the IFTF Expo in Expo Haarlemmermeer and after a stop over at the entrance of the FloraHolland Trade Fair at the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, the shuttles move on to the various Open Houses in the region. There are no costs involved to join these shuttle buses, nor to visit the participating companies, since the companies are sponsoring your transportation and warmly welcome you at their company for a visit.

Halls of new International Floriculture Trade Fair almost fully booked!

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), August 2, 2010. Exhibition space in the IFTF, the new international flower trade exhibition, to be held from Wednesday November 3 to Friday November 5 in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), Holland, is filling up quickly.

At this moment over 80% is booked and with 3 months to go it is expected that the trade fair will be sold out completely by the time the fair will open it doors on November 3 (for 2011 exhibition space is scheduled to be enlarged with 50%). It is amazing to see how many national and international floriculture companies have signed up so quickly, joining this new specialised flower trade fair in the first week of November; the ideal week to hold such event, according to the majority in the industry.

“Back to the roots”, as Robert Ilsink from Interplant expressed the new initiative at the launch of a specialised international flower trade show in Aalsmeer, back in January of this year. The organisers expect a total of 200+ companies exhibiting in the -state of the art- former 2002 Floriade Hall in Vijfhuizen. The venue is located on a 20 minutes distance of the Aalsmeer Flower Auction, that is having its own in house trade fair, the FloraHolland Trade fair, for their members at the very same dates and time as when the IFTF expo is being held.

Two excellent trade fairs and a great Open House Program of breeders, growers and traders in and around Aalsmeer, all held in the same week, will guarantee everybody’s satisfaction when visiting each of these events in the first week of November. One could easily conclude that the once world renowned Aalsmeer based international flower trade exhibition in November is back ! Finally, although with (a) new exhibition title(s) and with new management(s)!

The international floriculture industry can again enjoy one of the biggest specialised flower trade happenings in the world in Aalsmeer in Holland. The international trade visitor can do with one airline ticket and one hotel stay in one week to experience the latest developments in world floriculture. Thanks to the participation of over 600 national and international participating companies in different events in the first week of November in Aalsmeer!

FloraHolland Trade Fair and International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) together in November and taking it to the next level.

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), Monday April 19, 2010 - Meetings between the Flower Auction and HPP to coordinate the FloraHolland Trade Fair (former Aalsmeer Trade Market) and the International Floriculture Trade Fair IFTF Expo in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer) are going smoothly. After having agreed to jointly operate shuttles to facilitate transportation of trade visitors between the two fairs, coordinating media announcements and advertisements in the trade press, it was agreed last week to coordinate the conference and seminar programs of both exhibitions. This in order to avoid overlap of important key note conferences. The proximity of both fairs make is feasable for visitors to attend conference programs of both fairs.

The FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer and the IFTF Expo in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer) are complementing each other to a full extend, since (in principle) only companies that are not allowed to exhibit in the auction trade show are permitted to exhibit in the IFTF Expo in Vijfhuizen. This 2 sided exhibition concept makes is possible for any national or international floriculture company to exhibit in at least one of the two trade shows. Therefore nobody will have to be refused when wanting to exhibit.

At the same time a full representation of the world floriculture industry can be expected to be displaying, which on its turn will make it extra attractive to choose for the first week of November to visit Holland.

Registration for participation in the Open House programme starts today!

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), Tuesday April 20, 2010 - The Open House programme, which is especially designed for companies that have organised an Open House to receive trade visitors inside their own facilites, is open officially for registration as of today, Monday April 19. The open days are organised simultaneously with the two trade fairs held in the Aalsmeer Flower Auction and in the Expo Haarlemmermeer in Vijfhuizen, which is situated very close to the auction in Aalsmeer.

The first companies have subscribed already: Schreurs, van Kleef/Rosen Tantau, Hilverda De Boer, Anton Spaargaren, Olij Roses and Kordes, all based in Aalsmeer and De Kwakel, have signed up and will open their facilities between November 3 and 5 for national and international trade visitors.

Besides visiting the trade fairs in Aalsmeer and Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), the visitor can now as well profit from the open house programme in which many, mainly in and around Aalsmeer based floriculture companies, are participating.

The programme is coordinated by HPP, the organiser of the IFTF Expo in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer). The programme is part of the various floriculture promotion activities which are organised between the 3rd and 5th of November in and around Aalsmeer. During this so called International Floriculture Trade Week the trade visitor will be able to find anything one is looking for. The two exhibitions and the open House Shows should surely be able to "guarantee" this. The shuttle bus services between both exhibitions and the various open houses will also greatly contribute to shorten transportation time in between the different events and therefore therefore enabling visitors to see it all.

Press release IFTF 2010 - April 9, 2010.

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), The Netherlands, April 9, 2010 - 3 months after the launch of the new International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF), the exhibition is well on track and results are above expectations. With over 50% of the phase 1 space already being taken and many companies currently in the process of signing up, it looks like the new trade fair is heading for a full house event. If that happens, the organisers will move into phase 2 and start extending the fair by creating more exhibition space.

Floorplan set up
The lay out of the show has been ready since its launch mid January and companies can take any space that is available by just looking on the floorplan and choose. "Nobody has to wait and see where they will be allocated, a 100% transparent system which is very much appreciated by the exhibitor and based on the simple but clear first-in-first-served-concept", Dick van Raamsdonk, General Manager of the IFTF explained. HPP Exhibitions of Amsterdam, the organiser of the fair, implemented this system already 20 years ago and it is successfully used in all its shows around the world. Also it was decided that there will be no segmentation in this edition and therefore all companies with different product & service profiles are allocated randomly throughout the halls. "Since the overall profile of the trade show is floriculture, this will not be a problem and only create a natural and creative atmosphere", according to Dick van Raamsdonk. HPP Exhibitions is a leading organiser of flower & plant trade fairs around the world. For example the flower trade shows in Ethiopia, Kenya, Miami and Ecuador are all HPP productions as well. The company, with several offices abroad, is in the floriculture trade show business for already over 25 years..

Trade Show Conference
One of the features of IFTF will be the organisation of key note conferences during the trade fair in the auditorium on the premises of the exhibition in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), Expo Haarlemmermeer. Several exhibitors have already expressed their interest to hold such conferences. Also the organisers will address various topics during the event. More news about the full program will be published nearer the date of the exhibition.

Visitors promotion campaign
The launch of the visitors promotion campaign will officially start March 29, although ofcourse the actual promotion started already since its launch on January 11. Pre registrations of visitors are already coming in and besides individual registrations, several buyers groups from the USA, England and Japan have announced to visit the fair in the first week of November. HPP is using all its contacts through its interactive visitor promotion system to get the news about the show to the buyers anywhere in the world. Besides contacting and inviting all worldwide floriculture related news media, HPP has one of the largest floriculture data bases in the world. Also many exhibitors have already confirmed to launch their own individual promotion campaigns to attract their customers to visit the fair in November. The target of the (international) visitors is directed towards 2 different types of buyers : the grower and the trade. However importers, wholesalers and retailers are the principal visitors where the promotion campaign is focused on. Although growers are exhibiting as well, they are also subject to the visitor promotion campaign.

The International Floriculture Week
All the promotion efforts are directed to inform everybody about the floriculture week in the beginning of November in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer) and to visit the Expo IFTF in Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), which is simultaneously held with the FloraHolland Trade Fair, and the privately organised open houses in and around Aalsmeer. The FloraHolland Trade Fair is held on exactly the same dates in the Aalsmeer Flower Auction and is so to speak almost next door. So 3 different events easily to be visited in one trip. The 3 events being organised in the very same week and in the same area, create a new concentration of floriculture activities instead of
fragmentation. Even stronger, the activities are completely focused on floriculture, therefore benefiting even more the efficiency of the busy time schedule of every visitor.

The IFTF exhibition entrance, as well as car parking(!), are free of charge to all trade visitors!

New International Floriculture Trade Fair in The Netherlands in 2010

Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), January 8th, 2010 - The International Floriculture Trade Fair (IFTF) yesterday announced the launch of a new trade exhibition entirely dedicated to the promotion of the international Floriculture Industry. After it became clear that the national dutch horticulture exhibition Horti Fair was not going to move their show dates to the first week of November (as requested by a large group of traditional floriculture exhibitors of the Horti Fair), the decision was made to officially publish the new trade fair IFTF which will take place from Wednesday November 3 to Friday November 5 in Expo Haarlemmermeer, Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer), The Netherlands. Expo Haarlemmermeer is a Hall that was designed, built and used especially for the world renowned 2002 world flower exhibition Floriade. It is a state-of-the-art greenhouse type of hall on a 15 minutes and 10 kilometer distance from the Aalsmeer Flower Auction.

One Stop Shopping
The wish of a specialised trade fair for the flower & plant industry has been felt already for a long time. Furthermore the desire to have such a fair in the first week of November (as it was organised before until 3 years ago), has been there since the dates changed to (mid) October. The fact that the new trade fair will be held at the same dates as the FloraHolland Trade Fair (a show organised by the flower auction FloraHolland inside the auction for their members and buyers) has been received very well by both exhibitors and visitors from inside and outside The Netherlands. The 2 trade shows together will complete the visit of everybody that plan to attend both trade shows in Aalsmeer and Vijfhuizen (Aalsmeer) in the first week of November this year. More over, the plan of various exhibitors to have open houses during this week as well, will make everybodies visit more then worthwhile and satisfy all their flower needs for 2010! A full and exciting program that will surely attract thousands of trade visitors from Holland and the rest of the world.

Back to where and as it was before
An excellent mix of activities to put Holland back on the map in the world of professional international flower trade exhibitions. A prime position which Holland was loosing lately, or maybe even lost already, according to many peers within the industry. HPP Exhibitions, a Dutch based trade show organiser and specialised in the organi-sation of flower & plant trade fairs, has taken the responsability for organising this new trade fair and has set itself the goal to get back the image of which the flower show had before, years ago when the show took place yearly in the flower auction Aalsmeer. This exhibition later entered into a joint exhibition with the technical horticultural exhibition NTV and was moved to the exhibition center of Amsterdam the RAI, in 2000.

“We want our flower exhibition back, just as it was before”, a rose breeder recently said. “Indeed, and that is exactly what we will do”, the General Manager of HPP Exhibitions Dick van Raamsdonk said as a reply to that comment. “For over 25 years we specialise in the organisation of flower & plant trade shows abroad. So you can say, floriculture trade fairs are our profession. We either organise the fairs in countries where the flowers & plants are grown and we bring the buyers, or in the country where flowers & plants are being sold and we bring the growers. Holland has both elements and therefore an excellent country to combine it under one roof and in the week together with other related events.”

It is all about the grower
The grower can be exhibitor as well as visitor in the new exhibition concept. That’s why the exhibition is primarely focused on the grower and the buyer of its products. Every trade exhibition of HPP is actually based on this concept. The supply industry understands this focus very well and plays exactly for this reason an important part in the exhibition’s profile of exhibiting companies. The visitor profile of the exhibition will be primarely focused on the trade, import, wholesale & retail of the growers products and are therefore the main target group within this profile. For this reason they will be invited from all over the world for this exciting new event.
